The demonstrative model of computed tomography shows the principle of collecting data of real computed tomography used in medical practice. For showcase of principle the safe laser emitter is used that reys fall on row of detectors. The model has three levels of movement: rotation of gantry, shift of bearing in vertical as well as horizontal way. The parts are created by 3D print technologies that are strenghten by some threaded bars. The model is driven by a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) Cmod S6, thanks to it paralelismus for managing the model is enabled. In front of gantry there are addressable LED which display recorded data of detectors in real time. It is possible to see every single detection in different angles during examination.

Currently it´s working on a new model of computed tomograph. The model will be smaller (for its easier transport), all original functionalities will be kept and enriched with phantom reading by NFC, then scanning will be simulated by the provocation of already loaded inner structures of detecting model. The model has two modes:

  1. real scannig of model surface
  2. simulated scanning provoked by photos on the base of detecting phantom.
