It represents a solution of project under the responsibility of technological company Safibra, s.r.o. based on the VŠB-TUO group´s know-how that deals with fiber optic sensors. Another partners in the project that are included there are Czech Technical University in Prague and multidisciplinary construction company Subterra a.s.

The project is focused on an applied research and experimental development of new techniques and technologies of monitoring based on fiber optic sensors during the excavation of underground structures, digging large construction pits, during mining blasting or demolition work. The project uses optical fiber scanners, technologies connected with mobile networks 5G and cloud system of data storage and their processing using innovative principles from the IoT field.

The aim of the project is a research and development of optical fiber sensor system for monitoring seismic and acoustic effects due to small- and large-scale blasting, optoelectronic evaluation units with the support of mobile networks of the latest generation with intelligent processing of a large volume of data using advanced algorithm systems.

​The purpose of the system is to give and improve mutual information stream in a rescue team, its cooperation and safety. The system will use a modern method of inertial data and data from radio measuring that will be widen with algorithms of artificial intelligence. These algorithms will work with data from sensors carrying by the rescue for monitoring purposes of his position, state and the update of a situation, environment and analysis, idetification of risks and prediction of situation development.

The benefits and usage of results are not only for firefighting services but also for security services like police, army or a speleologist. Generaly everywhere where the localization of a person is needed and when we cannot rely on a functionality of well-known infrastructural technology and where is efficient so as a searching person would be equipped by a special devices.

Project OpenQKD works as an international developing and testing platform for quantum cryptographic solutions. The main aim of the project is a cooperation of European academia, industry and start-ups to implement of new testing places in secured quantum communication area in whole Europe in order to be available for external participants for practical testings and exams to use principles of quantum cryptography into the real net installations in close future.

Created consortium supports big suppliers from QKD but also give them an opportunity to introduce their technology in practise, enhance awareness and know-how about quantum security in public. The developing part od the project is focused on increasing capacity of QKD nets and make service quality better as well as a level of security during a process of creating keys.
